Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to join the team, a leader in appliance manufacturing. The Engineering Manager will oversee product development initiatives, manage a team of talented engineers, and ensure the successful design, testing, and production of innovative, high-quality appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Set goals, monitor performance, and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
- Product Development:
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design to production and market launch.
- Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements while aligning with customer needs and company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and quality, to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful execution of product development projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to implement best practices.
- Collaboration with Manufacturing:
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of production issues related to new and existing products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position.
- Proven expertise in product development within the appliance manufacturing industry or a related field.
